Medical Legal Consulting was founded in 1995 by Rebecca Landry as a legal nurse consulting practice.  Using her experience from various nursing positions and her knowledge of medical billing practices, Rebecca began to provide billing services and practice management consulting to medical practices in southwest Louisiana. This included identifying reimbursement issues, processing medical claims, insurance follow-up, patient statements, and receivables management for these practices.  Her clients began requesting assistance in other areas such as consultation for office startup and relocation, staffing, office procedures, and computer hardware and networking.  After investigating many patient accounting systems, Medisoft Patient Accounting was selected as the core application for the billing service operation.  The products of SENDCLAIM, LLC complimented and increased the performance and capabilities of the Medisoft core product. 

Over the years MLC’s market and products have broadened to include nationwide complete practice management solutions. Today our products include Medisoft & Lytec Patient Accounting systems, products of McKesson Corporation, plus worldclass solutions for electronic claims that include any claim type such as 837I and 837P (CMS1500 or UB04), electronic remittances, claims scrubbing, and  HIPAA compliant code list management, all products of SENDCLAIM, LLC and Dell computer systems.  Other offerings include HIPAA compliance training, electronic medical records, electronic prescribing, network implementation for multiple location providers, and much more.
